We believe that children are born eager and ready to learn!
Educational Vision
Thornton Child Care and Preschool Centre aims to be a comfortable and happy place for children to learn and grow, where each individual is respected for their strengths and interests. Each child will be encouraged to engage with, and become a part of their environment, and the community which surrounds them. Educators and families will strive to work in partnership to support the best learning outcomes for each child. We believe that positive social interactions are a vital part of each child’s day to ensure that they sense a feeling of belonging and comfort within their larger childcare family.
Philosophy
We strive to provide a home-like environment that is nurturing and supportive. We provide a dynamic, play-based curriculum, which supports and promotes each child’s development. We believe in inclusiveness and encourage children to accept and embrace differences in people. We build collaborative partnerships with families and believe these relationships assist us to provide the most appropriate education and care for each child. The health and safety of everyone in the centre is always a priority and great care and thought goes into the arrangement of the learning environments. We employ highly experienced and qualified teachers and educators to ensure the quality of education and care. Our philosophy has been built around the 7 Quality Areas in the National Quality Standards, and a copy of our full philosophy can be accessed here. https://thorntonchildcareandpreschoolcentre.com.au/philosophy/
