Enrolment details

Waiting List

  • Where there are no available vacancies families will be placed on the waiting list.
  • Waiting list applications are prioritised according to priority of access guidelines which is a requirement under regulations. We also give preference to siblings of children who are already enrolled at the service.
  • When a vacancy becomes available families on the waiting list will be contacted in order of priority, suitability of days available and the date their application was received.
  • When a position is offered families will have no more than 2 days to decide if they wish to take the place, otherwise the position will be offered to the next available family.
  • We cannot give a definitive answer as to when a place will be available.
  • Having a child’s name on the waiting list does NOT guarantee a position at the service.

Enrolment Process

  • Once a position is offered, families are asked to make an appointment to come in for an enrolment interview with the centre Director at a suitable time.
  • Families are provided with information about the centre, introduced to staff and shown through the service.
  • Enrolment packs are given to families to complete the required paperwork and must return this along with the child’s birth certificate and immunisation information from Medicare prior to commencing. The bond and enrolment fee also need to be paid.
  • Families are offered an opportunity to arrange transition visits to the centre if required, where the child and parent attend the centre for short periods prior to commencing to assist children to adjust to the care environment. These visits must be arranged at suitable times (eg. During morning activities).

Notice of withdrawal

  • Families must give 2 weeks written notice of withdrawal from the centre. Emails are acceptable as written notice.
  • If a child does not attend during the notice period the family will not be eligible for CCS, so full fee will be incurred by the family.
  • Allow up to 4 weeks for a bond/ fee refund.
